Co-owners Scotti Stark and Michael DeSantis blend their years of experience in business and wine, along with their slightly nutty personalities, to bring you fabulous wine. Introducing …Harumph. An über boutique winery that knows no boundaries, Harumph is particular when it comes to fruit. Sourcing from only the best vineyards and the finest growers in Napa Valley, we have the luxury of choosing with whom we want to work and the freedom to make the wine we want to make. At Harumph, we love our wine and we’re excited to share it with you. Because to us, wine is about more than what’s in the bottle. It’s about friends, family, food and fun. It’s about living well and laughing out loud. It’s a fun label, but there is a serious wine inside.
Our first release is the 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Because our production is extremely limited, your inaugural allocation will be three bottles (but you can wish for an additional nine bottles). To order, make sure you’re on our “Mailing List”. Once you’ve joined our list, an allocation email will be sent shortly afterward with your login information. If you’re already on the list, click here to login now.
To purchase, please join our mailing list, you will then be given an allocation of the wine(s) available to you. From there you can add whatever you would like to your cart. Thank you for your continued support.
2013 Spring Mountain Cabernet
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced entirely from Spring Mountain is a murky ruby/garnet color in the glass and barely translucent. As one approaches fresh violets dominate the air. Getting closer the nose explodes into black berries, black licorice, cedar, maduro wrapper and toasted vanilla. On the palate the wine is dense, focused and linear. It is young and tightly wound, but not undrinkable. The toffee and espresso bean finish goes on and on.
2013 Napa Valley Cabernet
There are extensive aromas of clove, tar, graphite, fresh violets, plum and black fruit. The wine is incredibly layered on the palate with dark cherry, juicy blackberry, crisp acidity and ripe tannins. The 2013 will be good for another 10-15 years, but will really benefit from a good decanting if you want to open and drink it soon.
2012 Napa Valley Cabernet
After some time in a decanter, it displays old school cedar notes, camphor, lavender, and hedonistic jammy blackberry, blueberry, and cassis. The palate is fleshy and opulent. The mid-palate imparts beautifully integrated and soft tannins. The wine finishes with balance and pin point acidity. The 2012 Napa Valley is full bodied with soft tannins and shows a great depth of character.
2011 Spring Mountain Cabernet
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced entirely from Spring Mountain has great expressions of dark fruit: plum, cherry, fig and black berries. One may also notice spices of eucalyptus, black licorice and cedar. The floral component screams violets. On the palate the wine is silky smooth but finishes with well-rounded tannins and an exceptionally long finish. This wine is great now, but will reward those with patience.
2011 Napa Valley Cabernet
Deeply saturated with a dark ruby hue. The 2011 HARUMPH opens with a complex array of cassis, pencil shavings, and violets on the nose. The palate is perfectly balanced with a focus of dark cherry and rich plums before secondary notes of cocoa, crushed stone, and pepper crusted salami. Fine grain tannins weave a structure and mouth feel that is silky and decadent all the way across the palate. The 2011 HARUMPH is a pure amalgamation of lushness, elegance, and power. Enjoy now or cellar for 5-10 years.
